I am a PhD student in the Human-Centred Computing section at the University of Copenhagen. I am supervised by Prof. Kasper Hornbæk and Asst. Prof. Hasti Seifi. My PhD is focused on making augmented reality (AR) more usable and useful in our everyday lives by creating new ways of mixing real life with digital content. My research has led to publications at top-tier venues, including CHI, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, ACM Transactions on Human-Robot Interaction, ISS and DIS.
During my PhD, I have been a visiting researcher at the University of Waterloo wokring with Prof. Daniel Vogel and a research intern at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy working with Dr. Abraham Mhaidli. I have also collaborated with Dr. Mar Gonzalez Franco from Google AR & VR for my master’s thesis. Before starting my integrated MSc+PhD, I was a UX Researcher at Mathworks, the company behind MATLAB. I received my bachelors degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at IIIT Delhi where I worked with Dr. Aman Parnami on wearable interactions.
Besides research, I like to cook, read and bike. In fact, you may notice that I often build food related prototypes to demonstrate my research.
I am currently on the lookout for postdoc positions and plan to submit my thesis in January 2027!
